Hi have a 5 room unit at jurong west st 64 Blk 678. Collected keys on 1st Jan 2008. Intend to sell on move to Farrer Road(near my family). What will be my appeal chances against my MOP. Estimate how much can i sell?

What are the grounds i can appeal on and i brought it under balance of sale.
I do not remember taking additional grant as it is my 1st time getting a flat.

Afternoon Angeline,

To simply appeal for reason of moving to stay near parents, prior to MOP, might not help unless you have kids or your parents are not well, etc. With purchase of unit from SBF, it's considered as subsidized unit, hence you should not be getting any grant, back in 2008.

As for the current valuation is around $480k and asking COV of around $30k to $45k.

Hi Angeline,

I suggest you wait till Jan 2013 (another 8 more months) to sell your 5rm flat. To appeal based on the reason of staying near to parents/grandparents.... you will be rejected outright by HDB.

Rules and regulations are meant to be followed. Unless you have very valid reason, HDB will not waive the MOP.
