Hi,

It is best to speak to a banker on this as there are other factors that need to take into consideration such as both your income level, age and how much are the both of you currently leveraged such as the car loan or perhaps another mortgage loan?

Instead of paying up your car loan, there are also other means of increasing the loan amount using via asset under management such as pledging your shares, fixed deposit etc.

I have a panel of bankers which I work very closely to help my clients to afford the dream home they desire.

Dear sir/madam,

It would definitely make a difference for the bank loan quantum you will be eligible for, however, the best person to speak to in this scenario would have to be a banker as it is out of our profession to give advise on home loans.
