Hi there,

Yes you are right to say that if you never use up your chance (subsidised flat be it new ec, bto or resale flat with housing grant), you can still apply for bto and/ or ec twice.

But do take note that if you apply for new EC, you have to dispose off it first and observe 30 months waiting period before you can apply for BTO or new EC. Resale levy will be applicable for your information.

What are you planning at the moment? Perhaps we can discuss and explore your options.

    Hi Mr Tan,

I need to clarify if I apply for new EC, I have to dispose off my resale HDB first and observe 30 months waiting period before I can apply for BTO or new EC? So in this period I cannot own any property and I need to rent a house for 30months?

Mean that every singaporean who owning a HDB unable to apply BTO or new ec? unless they dispose off their HDB first?
Hi,

As a Singapore Citizen, it is wise to buy as young as possible.

What to buy dependent on your plan (self needs, capital appreciation etc) and status (married, single etc).

As long as you had not activate your Singapore citizen priviledge, you have 2 chances of getting "subsidize".

It is not necessary you are getting most out from the subsidize, it is based on what your immedidate needs and plan.

Do note that the 1st subsidize is obviously receive more than 2nd subsidize.

Hope the above answer to your main concerns, but if there are more queries, please feel free to contact me at 90110636 , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.

Hi,

The scenario is based on buying a new EC first not resale HDB.

If you choose to buy a resale HDB or BTO first, you dont need to observe 30 months waiting period before application.

Hope it clarifies.
