For most cases, only 3 months salary is required unless HDB request for more information. If your wife is not working currently, you can use just your income alone for the eligibility.
There are some very good EC units that were just released by developer due to buyers not able to satisfy the eligibility criteria. Please feel free to contact me so that I can send you a list of all these attractive options (including dual key units which you can rent out part of it immediately)
