Hi Gurus, my wife and i are planning to apply for a Singapore citizenship perhaps next yr. in addition to that we also plan to avail of an HDB resale flat (grant + subsidised). unfortunately i just learned recently that overseas property should be disposed as a rule in getting an HDB flat. i'm willing to give up my overseas property for this hdb application but my question is... if i sell my overseas property-- then proceed in getting an HDB flat... can i still buy a property overseas after i finish/fulfill the 5 YRS MOP? thanks!

Afternoon Adrain,

With the current ruling, as long as you have fulfilled the Minimum Occupation Period, you are allowed to purchase private property, in and outside Singapore.
