Hi gurus - My SERS flat attained MOP after 7 yrs from selection date in 2006. However, I wld like to know if I have to pay SSD if I sell my flat now. HDB says that I may have to pay SSD date as it is calculated from date of Agreement of Lease signed in 2011 and not selection date in 2006. Pls advise

Afternoon, Under my understanding, SSD is payable based on date of contract, as per attached link below: http://www.iras.gov.sg/irasHome/uploadedFiles/Quick_Links/e-Tax_Guides/Stamp_duty/SD_Imposition_of_SD_on_Sellers_for_Sale_or_Disposal_of_Residential_Pty_7th_ed.pdf FYI Mike Lim 96929209  m52i@yahoo.com ERA Read More

Hi I signed a Letter of Confirmation with the HDB in 2006 offering to purchase the SERS flat. The Letter of Confirmation has a contract and sales registration number. So would this constitute the first contract? SERS cases are going to be different as there is no OTP.
