Yes it will be possible. However you will not be eligible for a HDB loan (have to financed using a bank loan) and 5% ABSD do apply. In addition if both you and wife is a first timer, you will not be eligible for any grants. All this disadvantages will not arise if you named your wife as a joint owner.
