Hi Gurus,

I'm currently a co-owner of a hdb property purchased with bank loan, and got intention to get another resale property with my fiancée.

Issue here is, I need to retain current hdb for my mom, and that I'm unable to withdraw my name in order to continue to sustain the current bank loan.

So the possible solution that I thought of is that my fiancée (aged 35yrs) to purchase a resale flat under his own name and my name added as occupant.

Question:

Is my propose solution workable? Else what is the best solution that I can keep my name as co-owner, and at the same time get own flat with my fiancée. Thanks

Evening,

Your fiancée is allowed to purchase resale HDB unit under single scheme and obtain the necessary mortgage based solely on her income. However, as she will be buying single scheme, your name will not be added as essential occupier. As a married couple, both of you are only allowed to have one HDB property in your holding.
