Hi Gurus,

I wanted to buy an HDB mid of this year, however, I saw in the HDB website about the rulings for the income ceiling. Is this SGD 8,000 income ceiling applicable only if you buy directly from HDB? Meaning I can buy even if my salary is higher than SGD 8K per month as long as I buy from a resale HDB flat?

Hi Neo;

Yes,its applicable only if you buy direct from HDB.However,you are eligible to buy EC/DBSS direct from HDB if your income ceiling is below $10k..I have a few new ECs just launched and DBSS launching soon in Yishun..Kindly contact me if you have any other queries..Thanks

    Thank you for your response Lyna. I will discuss my wife the possibility of that EC in Yishun - if at all it is feasible for us location wise.

    Care to give me a ballpark figure of how much it will cost for 2+1 EC unit in that Yishun project?

Hi Neo,

If your salary is above $8,000. You can only purchase resale HDB flat. You are also not eligible for HDB loan and grant. Therefore, you can only take a bank loan.
