Hi Gurus,
I just got my Singapore Citizenship, my spouse is SPR. We currently owned a resale HDB(4room - current value~$410k).
We're trying to down our loan by getting a cheaper 4room HDB, looking at 2 options(resale HDB or BTO)

Can I check do I need to pay resale levy? And do I get get any grant?



also just got her SPR on May 2019. Can we apply for BTO or Balance ? if we choose to buy resale, can she be a co-applicant instead of a occupier ?

Hi

You have bought a resale under SPR citizenship which means that you have not receive any grant. Hence you do not need to pay a resale levy.

You are likely be get a grant if you buy a resale.

You may check with HDB if you are buying a BTO or SBF.

Yes, she can opt to be an applicant.

Dear Sir,

Resale Levy is only applicable if your purchase a BTO. For resale flat purchase, there is no ABSD that is payable.

Since you are a SC, you will be able to apply for the first timer grant and proximity housing grant if your parents are staying within a 4km radius.

You wife can be a co-applicant as well. Please feel free to contact me so that I can understand your situation better and assist you further!
