Hi Gurus, current HDB is under my name and parents name. Im married now and wish to sell my unit and buy a resale hdb (due to change of environment). Can i still buy a resale flat using just my name and my parent to form the family nucleus? Reason that i do not want to include my wife name is because she just sold off her HDB flat and we wish to use only her name to buy a condo for investment and to avoid the MOP and CPF minimum sum. With this way, her flat sales proceed and my own house sales proceeds after the sales, can assist us to get the investment condo we want. Kindly advice.

Morning,

Being single, you are allowed to purchae HDB resale unit with your parents under extended single scheme. Being married, you and your spouse forms a family nucleus. Hence you are only allowed to purchase resale unit with your spouse name.

You can however, purchase a big unit with your spouse and let your parents stay with you while you try to rent out their unit or sell their unit and utilize their names to purchase a private property with the money gain from selling of both units.

Do feel free to contact me for detailed discussion.
