Hi Gurus, can enlighten me on the current practice/law with regards to commissions paid to agents by sellers & buyers? Heard its the 'up to buyer/seller practice' now. Is this true? Pls enlighten. Thanks.

Hi Sue,

The market trend for seller's commission payable is 2% of purchase price. And that of Buyer's agent shall comprise of 1% (Finder's Fees) of purchase price.

Of course, the seller and buyer is free to increase the percentage. And its a vice versa thing that for different amount of commission payable, you might or might not face a as hardworking agent. Read More
