Actually I have a few questions which I hope someone can advise me.
I'm a Singaporean and my wife is a PR. We got married around 2 years ago. As I'm working overseas most of the year, I ended up buying an apartment there. I do not plan to sell it as I need a place to stay for work. I know this makes it hard to apply for a HDB flat, but I really want to bring my case to HDB and see if I can get an exemption as I want to raise my family in Singapore. My flat overseas is still under construction and it will take at least 2 yrs to complete. I also know about the MOP, that is why I thought maybe it's better to buy a resale rather than a BTO so I have less of a lock down period, i.e, MOP for BTO's only start after construction is over. Also I'll be applying as a first time applicant and also hoping to use the CPF grant as my parents live in a 2 km radius. Would appreciate any advise on the possibility of applying for a HDB flat.
