Hi Guru,my son is already 35yr old and wishes to buy a 5rm resale hdb flat on his own.He is also a co-borrower with me and my husband of a private apt. but not as a co-owner.May I know his status whether he is entitled to buy the flat? He is not responsible for the loan.

Evening Irene, Based on your statement, I would assume that your private property was purchased years ago, where your son is allowed as guarantor. If the current mortgage does not have his name, it's likely possible that he can get a HDB or bank loan for the purchase. Do feel free to contact me for further discussion.
