I can assume that you are a Singaporean. It will be counted as 2nd property and the ABSD will be 12%.

Hi Jimmy,

If you were to purchase the next property on joint name basis, the ABSD will be 12% as its your wife 2nd property count. They will take the higher rate of all purchaser profiles. It might be better to buy under your own name instead as you do not own any property count at the moment.

If you purchase a property jointly with your wife, you will incur an ABSD of 12% because this will be your wife's second property.
