Hi Guru, my wife and I are SPR, we intend to buy a HDB flat this Jun. But I co-own a private apartment with my father in Malaysia. The private apartment is under construction, cannot sell / transfer. Can we buy a HDB flat this Jun and dispose the private apartment once it is complete in end of 2016? How to appeal and what kind of document have to submit? Thanks so much.

Good evening SJ,

Great hearing from you!

Currently I have Malaysian SPR buyers who are experiencing almost the same situation as both of you.

It is recommended to appeal to HDB first before you commit to a purchase.

Btw do take note that both of you must fulfill SPR status of 3 years respectively before you are eligible to purchase a resale HDB.
