Hi Guru, my fiancee and I are planning to buy our HDB resale flat. She is a Singaporean but I am a SPR, so do we have to pay the higher additional buyers' stamp duty of 7%? and can we get HDB loan or any grants? What are factors we have to take into considerations. Please advise. Thank you!

Hi,

If its your 1st matrimonial flat, as a SC-SPR household, ABSD remission can be applied with IRAS and ABSD avoided, subjected to approval. Yes you can apply for hdb loan and 20k grant if you are 1st timers, and not earning more than 12k/month. Thanks and hope to assist with your purchase further.
