Hi Guru

Just wanted to ask..We already signed contract and give the deposit to the agent.. Our move in is on dec. 25. But we decided not to continue and cancel the agreement..Since were not yet staying there. Is there any charges for us to pay? Is there any way we can still get our deposit and cancel the contract?

Hi, I'm afraid that your deposit will be forfeited.

Hi,

It depends on what is stated in your Letter of Offer for the landlord, which highly likely will state that at the minimum, your deposit will have to be forfeited as you decided not to proceed with the Tenancy Agreement. It is reasonable as they could have turned away other potential offers so that you could get the unit, and made arrangements to prepare for your arrival.

Is there something in the unit you are concerned with? Are there alternative locations you are keen on? Perhaps I have some units suitable to your needs. Thanks and hope to discuss further.

Warm regards,
