1) The HDB is taking this MOP very seriously.
2) There was a broadcast message from the HDB to CEA to remind all agencies to ensure all property agents are reminded.
3) Even those who wished to buy residential property for their children under Trust also need to fulfill this MOP.
4) This is applicable to all residential property regardless of whether the private residential properties are completed or under construction.
5) The only type of properties you are allowed to acquire an interest in is commercial or industrial without residential accommodation, as well as vacant land not zoned for residential development.

Hi,

I’m afraid you will have to wait till its MOP. HDB is very strict on this ruling and I had seen someone got a fine of close to 20k who bought a private property while his HDB flat has not reached MOP yet.
