Hi Guru,
I am currently planning to rent a common room from a singaporean owner who has been stayed in this unit more than 10 years. The owner actually stayed with his child, and only come back once a week. He actually locked the master room and allowed us to use the living & kitchen area.

For our case:-
1) For our case, we are actually renting a room or a unit?

2) Do we need to prepare a tenancy agreement for renting this unit/room?

3) Do we need to register/report to HDB?

4) Is there an procedure need to follow, we do not want anyhing happend (illegal stay) after move it.

Many Thanks.
