Yes you are right. As your non citizen parents are listed in the resale application, they need to dispose off any private property be it in Singapore or overseas within 6 months from your resale completion. If not, I will strongly advise to appeal first before committing to any purchase.

Good morning,

Under non-citizen family scheme, you are using your parent's name as essential occupier for the unit that you are buying. Hence they are to relinquish their residential property ownership within 6 months from key collection.

Hi,

(1) For Non-Citizen Family Scheme, you have to meet the following criteria:
(a) Buyer muts be an SC
(b) Age 21 years old or above
(c) There are two groups of family allowed:
(i) Parents and siblings (if any)
(ii) Children under legal custody (widowed/divored persons)

Under both groups, parent/child "must" have valid "Long Term Visit Pass or Work Pass", with at least 6 months validity at the time of application.
In additional to that, either pass must be renewed and valid by resale completion date as well.

(2) As per your query, this is applicable to all eligible person/owner/occupier buying resale HDB flat.
Either parents or yourselves have to dispose off any private properties local and overseas within 6 months upon key collection.
