Hi,

1) My guess is you are asking whether it is possible to purchase one more HDB for investment purposes.
2) I would like to highlight here that the HDB flat is for stay and not for investment.
3) The objective of the HDB is to provide affordable accommodation for SC and SPR, thus the price is more affordable by the majority even though it has appreciated for the past 50 years.
4) We don't really regard the increase in price for the HDB as capital appreciation but merely is because of the reality of scarcity of land and increase in cost over the years.
5) is only private property is allowed for investment. And govt has been ensuring there is no bubble created due to over-investment in property by implementing multiple cooling measures.
6) The govt also recognized there is capital appreciation in private property but does not encourage people who do not have sufficient financial power to involve in the property.
7) One family is allowed to own only one HDB flat for stay, thus when you purchase another HDB flat. You will have to let out of the current flat within 6 months upon key collection of the new purchase.

For HDB flat, you are only allowed to own 1. If you wish to upgrade to a bigger HDB flat, you will need to sell the first one within 6 months from the completion of the purchase.
