Afternoon Irene,

For HDB transaction, individual group will pay their salesperson respectively. For private property, buyer's agent would normally get the comm from the seller's agent. However, there will be case where the seller agent do not share his comm as there are limited choices of unit within the cluster. In such cases, buyer's salesperson will ask commission.

Dear Ms Irene,

Simple to put it, if you have engaged the services of a salesperson to source the unit for you, then be prepared to pay the service fees. Anything less will be considered a bonus. Just need to remember that a salesperson cannot be representing both seller and buyer at the same time.

I believe you are referring to private property. And in this case, buyer need not pay any commission to his or her agent.
