The whole process of the getting a valuation report will take about 1 to 2 weeks, therefore it will be good if you apply for it about 2 weeks before 1st Nov.
Yes, you can do it DIY. However, the problem with DIY is that you will expose yourself to more agents and you might have to handle maybe 50 agents at one time, because many agents will call you, which can be frustrating at times.
What I suggest is that you find one good agent to market the property for you. You don’t have sign exclusive with this agent but make sure that this is the sole agent marketing your property. Getting too many agents is not a good choice because the agents will be fighting against each other to secure the deal rather than protecting your price.
