Hi,

If both applicants are PR then both must at least hold the PR for 3 years before you can purchase a resale.

Thus, the only option now is to buy a private property or rent a house first.

Hi Eric,

Yes, SPR will be able to purchase HDB resale flats, provided both Husband and Wife attained SPR for more than 3 years. Do take note that ABSD of 5% applies.

For your situation, you will only be eligible in 2 years time, after your Wife has met this requirement.

Alternatively, you may wish to consider private residential if you do not wish to pay another 2 years of rental.
