Hi Guru
As I understand that I can pay the Buyer Stamp Duty through CPF. But generally it takes 3 weeks for CPF to process funds and so for re-sell private properties you can pay in cash and then get it reimbursed from CPF.
Now my question is if I wait and pay the Stamp Duty only through CPF , what is the interest that I need to pay assuming my stamp duty is 60K and there is a delay of 1 month.

Good morning,

For stamp duties, you are required to pay within 14 days of exercising Option to Purchase. Any late payment will incur penalties payable to IRAS , they are pretty strict on this. More details @

You may get your lawyer to write in to IRAS to request for the delay in paying the stamp duties and the lawyer will be able to advise you on the interests payable.
