Good morning,

You guys can only commit to a purchase when both of you are SPR for at least 3 years individually.

If assuming the latest date is April 21, you can only commit to a purchase on or after April 24. We can start preparing and house hunting probably 2 to 4 weeks prior to April 24.

If not alternative will be private housing at this very moment. Will you guys consider?

If both you and your spouse get the SPRs n the same date, you will only be able to register your Intent to Buy after Apr 2024. You can probably commence your search sometime in late March or early Apr 2024.

Hi,

1) If your partner is an SC, you may start your budgeting and online searching to determine the area/estate.
2) It is encouraged that you do not start your physical viewing until 2 weeks before getting your SPR status.
3) Due to the quick movement of the HDB flat now, the shortlisted unit might no longer be available by the time you decided to offer it.
4) If your partner is an SPR, then you will have to wait for another 3 yrs before you are eligible to buy a resale HDB flat.
