Hi Expert. Just checking, currently I have a HDB with joint tenancy with my mum and still repaying HDB loan with my CPF. I am now married with kids and decided to get a flat of our own. Can I remove my name from the HDB flat yet still repay the loan using cash? If not what are the suggested alternatives?

Afternoon Weilong,

If you opt to perform part sales, your mum need to secure sufficient funds so as to pay you back on the amount of CPF which you have utilized. If she needs a loan and your choose to help her repay it by cash, it will be viable.

Do feel free to contact me for further discussion
