Hi, Currently I have a Joint Tenacy with my mom for my resales flats (1st flat from HDB) and as recently I got married I was thinking to "Transfer" my flat to my mom so that I can buy a BTO with my wife. Transfer as a gift is that possible as currently I still have a housing loan of 100k with HDB. Can I transfer the flat to her (Only her name) as a gift which mean Don't need to pay anything but she will continue to pay the installment for the 4room flat. Any help will be thankful Regards, Neo

Hi Sky, If your name is removed from the flat, can your mother service the instalment on her own? The best solution might be to sell your 4room flat. Use the sales proceeds to pay for a 2room flat for your mum or get a studio apartment from the sale of balance flat exercise if she is above 55 years old. Thereafter you may buy another flat with your spouse. I charge 1% as your exclusive agent for selling. Let me know if would be keen to explore.
