Hi,

Currently, i am a hdb owner under the joint tenancy with both my parents. The hdb was acquired 5 years ago but my name was added 1 year ago.
Am I considered having completed the MOP ? If I remove my name for the ownership, am I still considered a first time buyer ?

Hi Alvin,

If you had simply added in your name 1 year ago. You are mostly likely considered to have completed the MOP. You will also be considered as first timer.

I had a similiar experience with you previously. I had added in my name to my mother HDB and use my CPF to help to pay the monthly installment.

Shortly after that, i applied for a new flat with my wife and we are considered as first timer. I sold my mother flat after 2 years after i got a new flat direct from HDB.

However, my incident happens quite some times ago and i advise that you approach HDB to clarify this matter.

Hope I had answered your question.

Feel free to contact me if you required any assistance.

Thanks and Regards
