Currently both my husband and myself are on EP. In 6 months time after we have PR status and we proceed in buying a house, is there anyway around this ABSD? The standard stamp duty is 3% and another 3% ABSD gives it a total of 6%- thats pretty hefty.
Is there any concession for either a first time buyer or someone buying their main and only Spore residence?

Afternoon,

ADSB is only applicable to PR who are purchasing their second property in Singapore.

Hi Primmie,

You have got it wrong entirely. As long it is your first and one and only property, you are only entitled to standard stamp duty. There will be no addition 3% stamp duty for your case.
