Hi, Can I remove my mum name as occupier in the house after 15 years. I am 58 years old but afraid that if I remove her as occupier, I might need to sell my house if I am not eligible to own the house alone? My sister is applying for her resale house application now and would want to add my mum as occupier for the proximity grant Please advise, thank you.

My answer with regards to your Question :

In Singapore, removing a person's name as an occupier from a property might involve legal and financial considerations. It's recommended to consult with a legal professional or HDB (Housing and Development Board) for specific advice tailored to your situation. They can provide guidance on the implications of such changes and ensure you understand the eligibility criteria for retaining ownership.
