You can only sell your flat once it has met its Minimum Occupation Period (MOP) of 5 years.

Unless you are being granted special approval to sell by HDB, you will need to fulfill the 5-year MOP before you can sell off the flat in the open market.

1) Selling on the 3rd year subject to a Seller Stamp Duty (SSD) of 4%.
2) You must have a valid reason to sell in the open market.
3) Normal reasons such as child-to-school enrollment, take care of parents, etc, unlikely to get approval from HDB.
