Hi, can anyone help with this:

I own a resale flat with my husband. Bought with grants and hvnt MOP. We are currently staying overseas, I am still receiving income from SG, and my husband is working overseas (no income in SG). As my house is empty, I want to add my brother and his wife as occupiers. They are both working in SG.

My qn is, will HDB count my husband's overseas income as part of the income ceiling? Or just the income in SG? Many thanks in advance!

I am unsure what your concern about the income ceiling is, are you worried that HDB will repossess the flat if your household income exceeds the limit?

I have been in the real estate business since 2009, with more than 13 years of experience serving the Singapore real estate market.

I am very active in the residential segment of Singapore real estate market, having transacted hundreds of deals from HDBs to private condominiums and landed properties in Singapore, and have handled many unique cases in sales and purchases as well as rental deals.

Over the years, I have also established a network reaching out to more than 9,400 expatriates, bringing my market presence to both in and outside of Singapore. This has created an additional exposure when I manage my client's portfolios, on top of the conventional on and offline platforms, where other estate agents are relying on. This has allowed me to consistently convert leads into results.

With an evolving market, where change is the only constant, I have also been investing in upgrading of my knowledge and skills sets to improve myself and meet the demands of current and future market.

Hi Evelyn, your household income need not be monitored and reported to HDB, after taking possession of the HDB. As long as you file your income tax according to the legislations, you are in good position. if you like to monitor the value of your property, you can also subscribe to My Property Tracker by filling up this form at http://bit.ly/UrHomeMatters.

Hi,

1) You can stop worrying about the income ceiling because this is not affecting you from owning the flat.
2) This requirement of income ceiling is only applicable when you are buying an HDB flat and not after owning it.
3) This is to ensure the flat is allocated to less affordable families rather than to the high-income earner.
4) Buying a resale flat has no limit on income except for those who intend to apply for grants.

Hope the above answer your main concerns, but if there are more query, please feel free to contact me at 90110636  , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.

Hi Mdm,

There is no implications on income ceiling, as you're already the owner of the HDB flat.

You also need not list your brother and his wife as occupiers, as by listing them as occupiers, it may affect your MOP.

I am experienced and well-versed in both HDB and private transactions. I will be able to assist you in your property plans. Please get in touch with me for a more in-depth discussion.

Should you need require further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
