Hi, appreciate it if anyone can enlighten me on the use of trusts for HDB flats.

I am buying a flat for my mom and would like to arrange for a trust to be done up so that she will transfer the ownership of the flat to me should she pass on.

Is this possible?

Afternoon,

All I can say is, TRUSTS, which would be more manageable if a WILL, have being written.
As for being a TRUSTEE, without a WILL, it's more dependent on situation.

FYI.

Hi Joo,

For your situation, I advised you to get a will. It will be easier when she pass on. If she pass on intestate, that is, without a will, her estate will be distributed evenly according to the law.

Hope I had answered your question.

Feel free to contact me if you required any assistance.
