Hi all gurus,
I would like to ask the below question. As me and my wife would like to purchase another flat (BTO or Resale) but currently my wife still has her name in her current flat co-own with her mum (Divorcee). She has a younger brother who has just started work for about 14 months already.

1) How to take out my wife's name in order for me and her to purchase another BTO/Resale?

2) Can we do the procedure of removing her name and applying of new flats concurrently together to save time?

3) How shall the process goes about? Meaning from removing her name from current house and ask her brother to take over, etc?

Thank you in advance
Mike

Hi Mike,

Firstly, in order for your wife's brother to takeover as co-owner of the HDB flat, he will have to refund whatever CPF that has been contributed by your wife towards the flat, plus accrued interest. He will also need to be able to undertake the outstanding loan of the HDB flat.

If the above is feasible, then you can apply for the transfer to be done, and your wife's name will be freed to purchase a HDB flat with you.

Should you need any further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Robbie Chen
