Yes It will be based on your first hle approved. It does not matter if the increament happens after your first hdb appt.

Dear Sir/Mdm,

Thanks for posting in Propertyguru and congrats on the plans to purchase your first HDB flat!

My advice to you, will be to do our HLE now. As long as your pay remains during this period of time up to the first appointment, then everything will be fine. You should still be eligible for the CPF grant.

Actually I also try took at to from another angle. Does the grant affect your decision in getting the house? If the answer to yourself is no, then just take it normally. Of course if we can make it for the grant, it will be great! Try not to let the grant issue add stress to the house purchase. I always tell my buyers that house buying should be a happy process and we need to keep it that way! As long as all the financial calculations are done properly then everything will turn out good.
