Hi... A relative of mine has just decided to relinquish his citizenship and retire with his pr wife in her hometown He has a 4rm hdb flat and his daughter is 20 a singapore citizen and single .He would like to transfer his flat to his daughter before he leaves. Is this possible? Since the daughther is not married and not yet 21. Another question is that based on current rules? for transfer of hdb EA or EM flats possible under such similar circumstances?

Morning,

HE would not be able to transfer the ownership to their daughter as single scheme is only eligible for SC who are above age of 35. Assuming that the daughter is above 35, she will only be eligible for bank loan if she were to purchase the unit from her parents.

Alternatively, your relative can opt to sell the unit into the open market and purchase private property for their daughter.
