Hello,
We are PR couple exploring HDB resale option. I've noticed that you are not eligible if you have property overseas. I (wife) have a property overseas from before marriage. Are we still allowed to buy HDB resale under my husband's name or is eligibility couple based?

Thank you!

Hi, you will still need to sell away or to transfer the ownership of your overseas property in this case.

Hi Mdm,

Firstly, to qualify for for HDB resale flats, both you and your Husband will need to be SPR for more than 3 years.

If you qualify, you will need to dispose off all interests in residential properties (local and overseas) latest within 6 months from getting the keys to your HDB flat.

You could try to appeal to HDB if you can prove that your overseas property is not for investment/rental purposes.

I am experienced and well-versed in both private and HDB resale transactions. I will be able to assist you in your home purchaase. Please get in touch with me for a more in-depth discussion.

Should you need require further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.
