Good evening buyer,

I am afraid the information you mentioned is wrong.

Be it you pay it fully or never, you will still have to observe the 5 years minimum occupation period first before you can rent the whole unit out.

But you can rent out rooms in the unit provided you as an owner is physically staying inside the unit.

For HDB properties, all buyers must fulfill 5 years MOP before being eligible to rent out the entire unit. If you are looking at renting out your rooms, you can do so immediately after being the official owner.
