Hello, there is a HDB ruling that "Each eligible Singaporean household can buy the following housing unit only twice:

a flat from the HDB; etc.

Does resale flat equivalent to a flat from HDB? Does a flat from HDB refer to BTO subsidized flat?

Can any GURUS help?

Each Singaporean can buy direct from HDB twice and if you buy a resale flat with grant when you purchase a second flat from HDB you will also be consider as a second timer.

Do take note that you will need to pay levy when you purchase a second flat from HDB.

Those whose first subsidised flat is a 3-room, 4-room, 5-room and Executive flat will pay a resale levy of $30,000, $40,000, $45,000 and $50,000 respectively when they purchase a second subsidised flat. Read More
