Hello PropertyGuru,
I need your expertise to advise me on HDB housing grant offer.
I have a 3 room HDB flat which I bought over from my parents many years back. I’m a Singaporean, age 54 years old and this is my 1st time I buy a resale HDB flat from my parent. Aside to this, I also never buy any new HDB flat of private housing. Present HDB flat I owned located at West Coast Road. 120701
The 3 room HDB flat I purchased from my parent is fully paid using my CPF and some cash, I did not take any grant from HDB during transaction at that time.
Question is,
1. If I want to buy one of a resale HDB flat listed in your PropertyGuru, would I consider as a first timer or 2nd timer buyer.
2. What HDB grant is entitle for me and what is the estimate grant amount that I can get as this will help me to do a proper budget to purchase a correct resale HDB flat listed in PropertyGuru.

There is no consideration whether you are 1st or 2nd timer if you are looking at HDB resale flat. This only applies if you are applying for BTO, which you will be considered 1st timer base on your description above.

CPF housing grant entitlement will be depending on your household income therefore we are unable to advise on the above. You may wish to visit HDB website (https://www.hdb.gov.sg/cs/infoweb/residential/buying-a-flat/understanding-your-eligibility-and-housing-loan-options/flat-and-grant-eligibility/couples-and-families/cpf-housing-grants-for-resale-flats-families). You may apply for HFE with all details and if I am not wrong, the HFE will indicate if you are eligible for any grant and also housing loan.
