Hello, I seek advice on this matter please: I recently saw a condo unit which was advertised by a sole agent who represents seller. Can this agent represent me as well as buyer or do i need to seek another agent to represent my interest.

Hi Vij,

It's a very tricky issue because in private properties, it's usually the case where the commission will be shared between the agents and you need not necessarily fork out any thing.
In this case, there could be a conflict of interest. Unless you really know what's going onhand/offhand, you can just stick to the sole agent. Otherwise be sure to engage an agent who represents your interest to do the necessary negotiation and documentation part on your behalf.

Hope this helps. Should you need any assistance, please feel free to call me at 94523347  .
I'm more than willing to help.

Hi Vij,

You can go direct to the seller's agent or you can also have another agent to represent you when viewing the unit.

It really boils down to whether you are comfortable with one agent serving both seller and buyer. If not, i would advise you to appoint one agent to represent your interest.

Please call me at 96836230  if you need any assistance. I will be glad to provide my service.

Thanks,
