Hello, I have a question about HDB renting.

1. I saw the maximum cap for a 2-3 rooms on hdb gov sg, is maids room and living room included on that count?
2. When it says 6 persons are allowed on a 2-3 room HDB, is this applicable to a family? where the tenants are family related?

1. For the rental of rooms in a HDB flat, you can only rent out the bedrooms, which does not include the living room or the maid's room.

2. The cap of 6 person applies to tenants that are not related to each other. If the tenants are related by a family relationship, which includes helpers and caregivers, the cap of 6 occupants per flat would not apply. Read More
