Your parents will need to sell off the existing property, whether it is a HDB or private condo in the event that you are looking to purchase a BTO with them. If they are existing private property owners, they will be required to sell the current property and wait out for a period of 30 months before you are eligible to apply for BTO together with your parents. Both their names must be included in the HDB application as they are a married couple.
