Hello, I am a single 39 yr old Singaporean looking to buy my first house. On one hand everyone tells me to apply for the 2 room bto. On the other I am really keen on getting a 3 room resale (built around 2015-2017) and skipping the whole bto process altogether. I am very worried about BTO as a single as the chances of getting one seem very slim, waiting time is 2-3 yrs after successful balloting, and I don't know if the 2 RM BTO will appreciate significantly enough to allow me upgrading opportunities in future.
