Hello Gurus,

I am an owner of a HDB 5-Rm flat and I am planning to sell my flat.

I have a few queries which I hope to have your advice.

1) As a buyer, what is the commission I'll have to pay to my agent? Is there a standard rate or it is negiotiable?

2) Is there any difference if I look for an agent to sell my property exclusively?

3) By having an exclusive agent to market my flat, will I pay a lower commission?

4) After selling my property, I am planning to buy a private apratment, will I need to pay a seperate commission to my agent as a buyer?

Hi Lin,

Commission package can be negotiated. This is a business deal between you and your consultant. It should be a win-win deal for you and him/her. Monetary issue may be important,but the precise timing of all aspects of your transaction procedures,terms and conditions should be considered more seriously.
