Dear sir,

As updated by HDB a while back, you are unable to make changes to your HFE details. The only way to do so will be to cancel the existing HFE and submit a new one. Check out this link from HDB: https://www.hdb.gov.sg/cs/infoweb/hdb-flat-portal/HFE/get-help/after-submitting-hfe-letter-application

Hi,

1) The rule not allowing to change the partner status once entering the legal process has always been there since 1960.
This is to prevent applicants from abusing the system. As of now, all applications are tied with the HFE. You will have to change the HFE once you decide to make changes.
2) The loan amount definitely will go higher once her income is being considered no matter how much she earns.
The loan amount is based on the total household income of all applicants, the higher income will lead to a higher loan.
3) If your partner's contribution is essential for you to get the housing type and location you prefer. I would encourage you to appeal to the HDB to allow you to make the necessary changes.
