HDB rejected my agreement since the owner can not rent out his flat anymore. The reason is Owner is not staying in Singapore for some time and can not rent it out anymore.
My family is coming next week and now I have to find another house..
How to deal with this situation ?? Can we reapply to HDB?

Morning,

You or your agent should have checked if your landlord have the rights and ability to rent before signing the TA. Since the TA have being inked, you can try to make claim against your landlord for the possible loses and start hunting for replacement unit asap.

    Thanks Mike.
Actually the house was rented for past 9 years and HDB sent notice to owner and owner replied to HDB that he has no plans to come back to Singapore.

Though I have signed on TA, my Agent never gave me Hard Copy. However I do have photographs in my mobile. I paid everything to agent 1 month rent, 1 month deposit & his agency fees along with Stamp duty and taxes. Now it is very difficult for me to find nice house in such a short notice.

Do you think Agent/Owner is at fault? Can we take any action on them ? or ask for compensatory amount?
Hi,

Whether you have engaged an agent, you should claim back your deposit and claim for some form of losses due to the inconvenience caused. Will be glad to assist in finding a replacement unit asap. Thanks.
