Gurus, Can I sign a HDB sublet contract while my work permit is pending? I'm a foreigner, and I want to rent HDB flat. The permit will be issued by the time I move into the flat, but not when I do house hunting. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I hope you have engage an agent to assist in this instance.
If both landlord and yourselves are doing DIY, then signing the contract would be a big mistake. The signed document is not legal and not protecting any of you and shall consider void.
